Note: Admissions are conducted as per the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009 and Government of Jharkhand guidelines. All information provided must be genuine and verifiable.

25% Reservation

Under Section 12(1)(c) of RTE Act, private schools must reserve 25% seats for children from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Disadvantaged Groups (DG) in entry-level classes.

Age Criteria

The child must meet the following age requirements as on 1st April of the admission year:

Class Age Requirement
Pre-Primary/LKG 3+ years to 4 years
UKG 4+ years to 5 years
Class I 5+ years to 7 years

Important: Age proof document is mandatory (Birth Certificate).

Income Criteria (EWS)

For Economically Weaker Section category, the annual family income must be:

Sector Maximum Annual Income
Urban Area Less than ₹72000
Rural Area Less than ₹72000

Required Documents:

  • Income Certificate from SDO/CO (not older than 6 months)
  • Ration Card (BPL/AAY/Antyodaya)
  • Self-Declaration Affidavit on stamp paper

Residential Criteria

The child and parents must be residents of WEST SINGHBHUM district, Jharkhand.

Acceptable Proof of Residence:

  • Aadhaar Card of child/parent showing WEST SINGHBHUM address
  • Voter ID Card of parents
  • Electricity Bill (not older than 3 months)
  • House Tax Receipt
  • Rent Agreement (registered)
  • Domicile Certificate of Jharkhand

Tip: At least 2 proofs of residence must be submitted for verification.

Disadvantaged Groups (DG)

Children belonging to the following categories are considered under Disadvantaged Groups:

  • SC/ST/OBC: Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes
  • Orphans: Children without parents or legal guardians
  • HIV/AIDS affected: Children or parents living with HIV/AIDS
  • Differently-abled: Children with physical or mental disabilities (?40%)
  • Children of migrant workers: Seasonal or permanent migrants
  • Street children: Children living or working on streets
  • Child laborers: Children rescued from labor

Required Certificate: Caste Certificate/Disability Certificate/Relevant proof issued by competent authority.

Important: All documents must be original or self-attested copies. False information or fake documents will lead to cancellation of admission and legal action.

Special Provisions

  • Priority to Girl Child: Girl children get preference during selection
  • Siblings: Priority given if sibling already studying in the same school
  • Single Parent: Children of single parents get special consideration
  • Proximity: Preference to students residing within 1 km radius (3 km for rural)
  • Reservation: 3% horizontal reservation for differently-abled children

Disqualification Criteria

An application will be rejected if:

  • Child does not meet the age criteria
  • Family income exceeds the prescribed limit
  • Required documents are incomplete or fake
  • Applicant is not a resident of WEST SINGHBHUM district
  • Application submitted after deadline
  • Multiple applications submitted for same child
  • Information provided is false or misleading
